Monthly Meeting – Guru Nanak Sikh Heritage

Name of the Gurudwara registered as Guru Nanak Sikh Heritage Inc
The name was discussed among all present – ‘of America’ was not included in the name as the name was too long. We could amend it to include ‘of US’ in the end but everybody agreed that the name is ok and we should move forward to the next steps.
Land committee provided update on few locations they have seen. They will continue their search and will top-list 3 locations to present in next meeting.
Finance committee to open bank account in next couple of weeks in local branch
There was also discussion on compiling the by-laws.
There was a discussion that we should start putting monthly commitments from families in bank account as soon as bank account is open so that we have enough money in the bank to show when we need to apply for loan for the land. Few families provided commitment on their monthly share.
IT committee informed that they have started working on the team site. The domain names are already registered with both .com and .org extensions.
